Frequently Asked Questions

Who is Women's Golf Fellowship for?

+

Women's Golf Fellowship is for college women golfers who want to know more about Jesus and build genuine community with others who play the game. We also walk alongside college coaches, and we're grateful for the volunteers and donors who make this ministry possible. Wherever you are in your faith, there's a place for you here.

Do I have to be a Christian to join a study or come to a retreat?

+

Not at all. Whether you've followed Jesus for years, you're curious, or you're somewhere in between, you're welcome. Our only ask is honest conversation.

Is WGF affiliated with a specific church or denomination?

+

We're non-denominational and grounded in the core truths of the Christian faith: Scripture, the Trinity, and salvation through Jesus alone. You can read our full doctrinal statement on the What We Believe page. We partner with local churches wherever players are, and we exist to serve and strengthen the local church, not replace it. We also partner with College Golf Fellowship (CGF).

How much does a WGF player retreat cost?

+

Every WGF player retreat is completely free. It's our gift to you, covered by our donors. Your only cost is getting yourself there, and if even that is a barrier, reach out. We never want cost to be the reason you miss out.

What happens at a WGF retreat?

+

A few days to step away from the grind: worship, teaching, honest conversation, golf, rest, and real community with other college golfers. At our coaches retreats, coaches will be surrounded by other coaches, staff and volunteers walking though similar things! You'll leave encouraged, known, and usually with a few new friends. We hope you grow closer in your dependence on the Lord and begin to form authentic community.

What are the Bible studies, and how do they work?

+

We have a Bible study resource on our website for groups who want to start their own study with their team or other college golfers. We're also on the ground in some areas through WGF volunteers and staff, and we come alongside players at college tournaments throughout the season. Leaders can access our recorded studies to walk through with their own team. Please reach out to us directly for more information.

Can I bring WGF to my campus?

+

Yes, and that's often how a study begins. Reach out through our contact page or the volunteer form, and we'll take the next step together.

I'm a college coach. Is there something for me?

+

Yes. Coaches can walk through our current bible study on their own time and join scheduled virtual discussions with other coaches, and we host a retreat set apart just for coaches and volunteers. Head to the For Coaches page to get connected.

I played college golf. Is there a place for me?

+

Absolutely. Some of our best volunteers are women who played college golf and want to give back. Depending on where you are in life, you could help host events, come alongside a team as a study leader, serve at a retreat, or pour into players as a mentor down the road. If you'd love to stay connected to the game and the mission, reach out through our contact page or the volunteer form and we'll help you find a fit.

How is WGF funded, and how can I give?

+

WGF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit funded entirely by generous donors who believe college players deserve to know Christ. Every gift is tax-deductible and goes straight into studies, retreats, and relationships. You can give through our Donate page, or mail a check to PO Box 121084, Fort Worth, TX 76121.
